The Community Church

Purpose

To worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in Spirit and in Truth, serving His pleasure with singleness of heart and action, revering Him for our own good and the good of our children after us forever.

To assemble ourselves together for worship, fellowship, counsel and instruction in the Word of God, and for the exercise of those spiritual gifts and offices set forth in the New Testament.

To meet the spiritual and temporal needs of people in the local assembly and to the uttermost parts of the earth, thereby fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.

Core Values

Rather than tolerate people we celebrate them as treasures of God.  We love people for whose they are.

What you do doesn't determine who you are; who you are determines what you do.

Everything about our lives, individually and collectively, must flow out of our real, personal, experiential relationship with Father God through Jesus Christ.  This comes from living lives of abandonment unto God, repenting from being satisfied by anything other than simply "being" with Him.

THE HEART, THE HEART, THE HEART – WE PRAY TO DISCOVER, INTIMATELY KNOW AND ACCURATELY EXPRESS THE HEART OF GOD, LOVE, IN ALL THE EARTH!

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, without any error, the all-sufficient and final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons (The Godhead): Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His current reign over all things seen and unseen and in His Personal return in power and glory.

We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness apart from God’s intervening grace.

We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from man’s works, and is possessed by any and all who have faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling and enablement the Christian is empowered to live a godly life.

We believe water baptism is an initial act of obedience, in response to God's love, and symbolic as to being baptized into the Name of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the Lord’s Supper as a declaration of His suffering and death on the cross for our benefit.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the everlasting blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the everlasting punishment and separation from God of the unsaved in hell.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, one Church with many congregations.
